James Garfield Letter Signed "J. A. Garfield" as an Ohio member of the U.S. House of Representatives. One page 7.5" x 9.5", April 3, 1869, Washington, on House of Representative stationery, to Von Frederick Kinsman of Warren, Ohio, concerning some experimental "choice seeds". With smoothed folds; fine. Attractively framed and matted with a likeness of Garfield to an overall size of 26.5" x 17.25".More Information:
In part: "I have received from the Commissioner of Agriculture some choice seeds which he desires to have experimented upon and of learning the result. I though you would be willing to test them as requested."
