More Information:

In part: "Over an extended period of time the Congress has enacted legislation requiring the submission...of various quarterly, semi-annual, annual, and special reports...some of these reports serve no useful purpose and could be discontinued without detriment to the public service, thus conserving the personnel, space, equipment, and materials required in their preparation...A similar proposal...is pending before the present Congress. I urge that the Congress give prompt and favorable consideration to this legislation as a means of conserving manpower, space, equipment, and materials."
