Mary Pickford, Douglas Fairbanks, Charlie Chaplin, D. W. Griffith, Joseph M. Schenck, Samuel Goldwyn, et al. Typed Document Signed. Two pages, 8.5" x 11", n. p., October 25, 1932. In part: "We, the undersigned, owners of the respective number of shares of common stock of United Artists Corporation . . . supplement a memorandum of consent . . . for the sale of one thousand (1000) shares of the capital stock of the United Artists Corporation by Gloria Swanson to United Artists, Ltd. by eliminating the following words from the first page of such consent . . . Meaning and intending that the consideration to be paid . . . to Gloria Swanson for said stock shall be Two hundred thousand dollars ($200,000.00) and that the aforesaid consent, except as herein modified, shall remain in full force and effect." Each of the signees, including the attorneys for Douglas Fairbanks, the treasurer of D. W. Griffith, Inc. and the president of Art Cinema Corporation have all signed in ink, Mary Pickford signing "Mary Pickford Fairbanks." Smoothed folds with dimples and minor staining from a paperclip in the upper left corner.
