Description
Scarce British-Proofed and Irish Agent-Marked Winchester Second Model 1873 Saddle Ring Carbine. Serial no. 77229, .44-40 caliber, 20-inch round barrel with standard pedestal front sight and two-position folding rear sight. Blued finish. Left side of frame stamped with number 9375 and legend: Trulock & Harriss/9 Dawson St., Dublin. Saddle ring loop. Case-hardened hammer, lever and buttplate. Varnished walnut stock and fore-end. Carbine butt with cleaning rod reservoir.Condition: Excellent. Retaining approximately 75-80% finish with scattered wear, flaking finish and age patina. Faded and silvered case-hardening. Saddle ring missing. Wood excellent. Action tight and crisp.
