U.S. Colt Model 1901 Double-Action Revolver. Serial no. 170843, .38 caliber, 6-inch barrel. Blued finish. Top of barrel with Hartford address and last patent date of 1895. Left side of frame with inspectors' marks R.A.C and L.E.B. Walnut grips. Lanyard ring at butt which is marked: U.S./. Army /Model /1901/ No. 170/843. Condition: Fair to good. Retaining much of the original finish. Scattered large patches of moderate pitting at muzzle, front sight, frame and cylinder. Numerous small nicks. Grips good with moderate wear. Bore good showing some minor pitting. Action good.
