Description
J.P. Sauer & Sohn Drilling c1937. Serial no. 277999, 7 x 57 /16 ga, 23 5/8-inch barrels with matte rib and claw mounts. Front sling swivel. Barrels marked: KRUPP LAUFSTAHL/SPECIAL GEWER LAUFTSAHL/[crown/N]/STM.G/9GR. Fine checkered hardwood stock with cheekpiece. Rear sling swivel and Sauer-marked hard rubber butt plate with engraved screws. Manufactured c1937.Condition: Very good as possibly refinished. Retaining approximately 90-92% of an old reblue. Scattered small patches of fine pitting. Right barrel with small dent. Missing upper tang screw. Period repair at wrist. Two small chips on left side at breech. Action crisp. Bores are bright.
