Stoeger Zephyr Woodlander SxS Shotgun Belonging to Texas Ranger Weldon Lucas. Serial no. 183526, 20 gauge, 27 3/4-inch barrels with matte rib and brass bead front sight. Blued and case-hardened finish. Nicely engraved receiver. Top of gun marked: STOEGER ARMS CORPORATION MADE IN SPAIN. High gloss, checkered walnut stock. Factory, hard rubber buttplate. Sold together with notarized letter from sister of Weldon Lucas confirming that he owned the gun.
Condition: Fine. Minor handling wear.
Texas Ranger Weldon Lucas was a career lawman who later served as sheriff of Denton County for more than a decade. Lucas also was a consultant to the television show "Walker, Texas Ranger." Lucas joined the Texas Department of Public Safety in 1963, starting as a patrol officer. He went on to join the elite Texas Rangers in 1981.
