Description
Incomplete Colt Model 1861 Navy Richards Conversion Single Action Revolver. Serial no. 18500, .38 caliber, 7 1/2-inch barrel with single-line New York address. Missing loading lever and latch. Replacement wedge screw. Scarce Navy style Richards conversion ring. Left side of frame marked: Colt's Patent. Brass gripstrap and triggerguard assembly. Varnished one-piece walnut grips.Condition: Poor. Metal with scattered heavy wear, very dark age patina and scattered pitting throughout. Frame with traces of old reblue. Marred screws and some replacement. Bottom of frame and barrel drilled and tapped with multiple empty screw holes one of which goes through the serial number on the frame. Brass grip frame assembly with no finish but showing dark age patina. Grips retaining traces of original varnish and showing wear overall. Action good.
