Sought-after 1860 Lincoln Campaign Biography, The "Authorized Edition" By D. W. Bartlett, published by H. Dayton, New York, 150 pages. This widely-distributed pro-Lincoln biography was an important vehicle for aquainting the vast American populace with the candidate. Highly perishable pulp paper, so most of these which have survived are very rough, especially the wrap. This is a very nice copy, with complete cover including spine. Minor speckling, and corner wear to front cover, but a very pleasing copy overall. 4.875" x 7.125".Auction Info
