Description

Jack Ruby Document Signed. Partially printed, one page, 8.5" x 11" with 8.5" x 2" blank perforated receipt still attached to the lower edge, Dallas, Texas, April 26, 1961. This AGVA (American Guild of Variety Artists) Engagement Contract is between Ruby and one of his exotic dancers, Darlene Jean Hazy aka "Tayma". She was to receive $200 a week for two weeks. Not bad by 1961 standards. Bold signatures, excellent condition. By killing Lee Harvey Oswald on November 24, 1964 Jack Ruby became the most famous nightclub owner in American history. His notoriety was all the juicier given his profession and ties to the Mafia. This document, as it features one of Ruby's girls, makes it highly desirable.
