Description
Jack Ruby Signature "Jack Ruby", 4" x 2.25", business card, Dallas, Texas, nd. The full written statement reads: "Except Sat Admit Party Carousel Club 1312 ½ Commerce Jack Ruby." The note is written on the back of a business card for "The Spot", a nightclub. However, the club mentioned by Ruby is the infamous "Carousel Club". This club was owned by Ruby, who is know to have shot and killed Lee Harvey Oswald. Many Dallas police officers used to frequent this very club. This fact and many others, have been the source of numerous conspiracy theories regarding the assassination of John F. Kennedy and Lee Harvey Oswald. Also included with the business card is a small pamphlet from the "Sky Club" which was owned by one of Ruby's partners, Ralph Paul. The business card is in fine condition; moderate edge wear including some tears and rounding of the corners; the right edge is wrinkled and creased; moderate soiling; signature still visible and dark. The pamphlet is also in fine condition; moderate edge damage, especially on right edge; lower right corner missing; slightly brittle.Auction Info
