Georgy Zhukov Endorsement Signed "Zhukov" (in Cyrillic).Two pages, 8.25" x 11.5", Moscow, December 26, 1949. This document is a basic attestation and recommendation for a military promotion, signed by various generals including Gregory Zhukov. The man being promoted is Colonel Vyacheslav Borisov. Georgy Zhukov was one of the most successful generals during WWII, and was reportedly greatly admired by General Eisenhower. He led the Red Army and liberated the Soviet Union from Nazi German control. Zhukov signed the bottom of the second page in blue ink and added (in Cyrillic) "Qualified for the position." The document is in very fine condition; lightly fading text throughout; moderate edge wear; corners lightly wrinkled.
