Description
Apollo 16 Signed Color Photograph Montage. Seven color photographs of the mission are matted with a 6.25" x 9.5" card signed "John Young," "Ken Mattingly" (autopen), and "Charlie Duke." The card is lightly foxed and the photos are slightly faded and foxed. Atop the card is an Apollo 16 decal. On a separate 6.25" x 2.25" card is a note handwritten by Duke in block letters, signed in script, "Charlie": "To Joe, It was a super trip/ for a country boy. With best wishes and sincere thanks for/ your help." The signature is dampstained. Young and Duke walked on the moon. Framed to 17.75" x 21.75". From the collection of renowned former physical trainer of the astronauts Joe Garino. This lot is accompanied by a signed certificate of authentication from Garino verifying its provenance.Auction Info
