Literary agent and adventure novelist Otis Adelbert Kline (1891-1946) carried on a long-standing "feud" with Edgar Rice Burroughs, who, after publication of Planet of Peril (1929), a Kline novel set on Venus, believed the author was deliberately borrowing from his popular Martian series. The Port of Peril (1932) was the third and final installment in Kline's Venus series. This edition was published in 1949. From the Robert and Diane Yaspan Collection.
