Description
CDV View of a Soldier in the 15th Iowa Infantry. Wears shell jacket and black slouch hat. 17th Army Corps badge (arrow) prominently displayed on his right breast with unidentified medal, possibly an ID tag, suspended from an eagle pin on his left breast. Belt set with oval buckle, and what appears to be an Enfield rifled musket with bayonet fixed. Identified in pencil on verso "Unknown Comrade/Co. C 15th Iowa Inf./17th A. C." By A. S.
