Colt Special Model 1861 .58 Caliber Percussion Rifled Musket, Colt / 1863. All metal smooth and light gray, just a few dents at the breech. Marked steel at breech with V/P, no breech date and eagle on the face of the bolster no longer visible. Excellent lock markings, mechanically fine, very good bore, the gun is complete and original in every respect. Wood very good showing honest wear and use with no visible inspector's marks. Nice honest example of this desirable Civil War .58 caliber rifled musket.Auction Info
