First flight of the Lunar Module

Apollo 9 Flown American Flag and Mission Insignia Patch on Crew-Signed Certificate, Originally from the Personal Collection of Mission Command Module Pilot Dave Scott, with Signed LOA and PSA/DNA Full Certificate, in Framed Display. A 6" x 4" cloth U.S. flag and a 3.375" diameter embroidered mission patch mounted on a certificate signed in black felt tip: "James McDivitt", "Dave Scott", and "Rusty Schweickart" with text that reads: "Carried into Space during the Flight of Apollo IX 3-13 March 1969". It is matted and handsomely framed to an overall 15.5" x 17". Included with the lot is a full COA from PSA/DNA #AB07924. Excellent.

Included with this lot is a signed Letter of Authenticity from Dave Scott on his letterhead, it reads (in part): "I hereby certify that the United States flag and Apollo 9 patch included with this letter were flown aboard Apollo 9, March 3-13, 1969. As shown in the attached display, this specific flag and patch were mounted and signed by each of the crew members immediately after the flight of Apollo 9 and have remained in my personal collection since the mission..."
