Likely an "occupational" of a gambler.
Sixth Plate Daguerreotype Portrait, Circa 1848. The image shows a well dressed, "slick" looking young man with high top hat. His head cocked to one side holding a loose fist to his mouth, is doubtless simulating "blowing" on dice. Fascinating image and a unique presentation in our experience. Very fine quality, perfect condition. Resealed, but the image is untouched/ uncleaned. Housed in the original floral leather case with plain pink silk pad, very fine. Lots of fun.Auction Info
