George B. Cortelyou: Autograph Portrait Photograph, 11" x 14", matted and in gilt frame (17.50" x 21.5" overall). Ink signed "Very sincerely yours George B. Cortelyou December 7, 1907", photographed Prince Foto Studio Washington D.C. Cartelyou was secretary to President McKinley and continued in that office after the assassination. President Roosevelt made him Secretary of Commerce and Labor when that Department was established in 1903. Fine to very fine, great contrast.Auction Info
