Description
U.S. Coin Glass: Five Relish Dishes, Circa 1892. All are of the attractive flute and rim style. Four dishes, made by the Central Glass Co., Wheeling, West Virginia, have five layered Seated Liberty half dollars dated 1892 in the bottom and eight Seated Liberty quarters dated 1892 around the sides. Two of those dishes are heavily frosted, one is lightly frosted, and one is unfrosted. The fifth relish dish is Columbian World's Fair Glass, in a similar pattern as the others, but with frosted "coins" depicting Christopher Columbus, "Americus Vespucius", and the coats-of-arms of Spain and the United States. All are 7.5" x 3.75". A few trivial chips, else very fine.Auction Info
