(New York: Dodd, Mead, and Company, 1898), first edition, 264 pages, red cloth covers with gilt lettering, octavo, signed, "Jno S. Mosby" with ink annotations on pages 10 and 263. Written by the Confederacy's "Grey Ghost," Mosby recounts the tactics that made him, and his fellow commander J.E.B. Stuart, so feared by Northern generals and soldiers alike.
