Skylab II (SL-3) Flown Beta Cloth Utility Bag (APK Style) Directly from the Personal Collection of Mission Pilot Jack Lousma, Signed and Certified. A 4" x 9" bag with a 1.75" gusset; the drawstring at top is threaded out through a single metal grommet. The NASA cloth tag has the printed text: "UTILITY BAG/ P/N SEC 12100087-301/ S/N 1006/ MFG BY CSD/MSC/ SEPT 72" Beneath, Lousma has boldly signed: "Used and flown/ on Skylab II/ Jack Lousma". This was the type of bag used for the astronauts to carry personal mementos into space. Skylab II was the second manned mission to the first U.S. Space Station, Skylab; the three man crew of Alan Bean, Jack Lousma, and Owen Garriott spent fifty-nine days in space. Excellent condition with general light soiling from use.
