Apollo 10 Command Module Flown Silver Robbins Medallion from the Personal Collection of Mission Lunar Module Pilot Gene Cernan, Serial Number 289, includes original plastic box with "289" label on bottom. This sterling silver shield-shaped medal, 28mm x 31mm, was one of 300 flown on the mission to the moon by its crew- Tom Stafford, Gene Cernan, and John Young. The medallions stayed with Young aboard the Command Module Charlie Brown while Stafford and Cernan flew the Lunar Module Snoopy to within 50,000 feet from the lunar surface on the last, full-scale dress rehearsal for the Apollo 11 landing. The obverse of he medal has the mission insignia while the reverse has the engraved mission dates along with the serial number and the sterling hallmark. Excellent condition.
