Quarto. 318 pages. Sixteen color plates mounted on cream paper with captioned tissue guards. This copy has a charming original signed drawing by Rackham on the recto of half-title page. Rackham has executed an ink and watercolor caricature of himself in traditional Irish dress, with a clay pipe and shillelagh, conversing with an enrapt crow.
Publisher's quarter vellum with white paper boards. Gilt titles and decoration. Wrapped in double glassine dust jacket. Hinges slightly cracked. Toning to endpapers. Housed in a custom quarter green morocco drop front clamshell box. A near fine copy. From the Estate of John McLaughlin.
