Description
Howard Hughes Partial Typed Letter Signed "Howard Hughes", one page, top of personal letterhead, 7.25" x 3.25", Hollywood, California, October 10, 1939, and clipped note, 6.5" x 3.25", apparently from the same sheet. The note reads: "I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for the generous cooperation extended to us by your entire organization during our preparations for our proposed sub-stratosphere flight from New York to Paris. As you are no doubt aware, the international situation prevented us from carrying out our plans." Paper is slightly aged, with one smooth horizontal fold at the very bottom. Included is the early FCC envelope which contained the Hughes letter.Auction Info
