Description

Cast Iron William Tell Mechanical Bank. A beautiful example measuring 10.5" x 6.5" in functioning condition. The spring is cocked and the coin placed upon Mr. Tell's cross bow, pressing his foot sends the coin flying at the apple atop his son's head, and if successful, into the bank. The bank is patent dated June 23, 1896 but there is no maker's mark present. The paint remains strong with a lovely patina. The plug on the base is missing, else the bank is in excellent condition.
