Description

Apollo 11 Flown Robbins Medallion From the Buzz Aldrin Collection Approximately 1" in diameter, the design of this medallion is patterned after the original emblem created by Michael Collins, the mission's command module pilot. The final version of the emblem was changed slightly to reflect the American eagle with olive branches in his talons as opposed to his mouth. The Robbins medallion may be the only official version of the original Collins emblem. The last names of all three astronauts are engraved on the reverse, along with dates launched, landed and returned to earth. This medallion is numbered 350 on the reverse as well. Dr. Aldrin has sold Robbins medallions from his personal collection before, but the number of them in his possession is very low. This could be one of the last chances to acquire an Apollo 11 flown Robbins medallion from Buzz Aldrin. From the personal collection of Dr. Buzz Aldrin and accompanied by a signed Letter of Authenticity from him.
