Apollo 13 Robbins Sterling Silver Medallion, numbered 201, presented to Joe Garino by Jack Swigert. Because of the last minute crew change (Swigert replaced Mattingly three days before the mission), all of the original flown medallions (with Mattingly's name on them) were melted down and 404 newly designed medallions were struck from the "flown metal." From the collection of renowned former physical trainer of the astronauts Joe Garino. This lot is accompanied by a signed certificate of authentication from Garino verifying its provenance.Auction Info
