Description

Apollo 12 Flown Robbins Sterling Silver Medallion, numbered 50 of 262 flown, presented to Joe Garino by Charles Conrad. Medallions numbered 1 to 82, including this one, were struck from silver recovered from a Spanish treasure ship that sank off the coast near Cape Canaveral in 1715. New information suggests that the silver may have been from a ship that sank in the 1400s. From the collection of renowned former physical trainer of the astronauts Joe Garino. This lot is accompanied by a signed certificate of authentication from Garino verifying its provenance.
