Description
Adriance Hay Mower Working Salesman Sample in Original Box. As the directions on the inside of the lid imply, this is not a toy. It is a working example of the Adriance, Platt & Co. model 110 hay mower. When removed from the box the model unfolds to 21" long, with a wheel base of 8.75". The mower blade extends from the side approximately 9" and will move with a realistic scissor-like action of the blade. To replace it in the carrying box, the mower is carefully folded over and handles reversed to a flat position. Neatly positioned in the box the display model is protected from breakage in its original box which has a metal plaque reading; "Model No. 110 Property of Adriance, Platt & Co., Poughkeepsie, NY.". Original patina, colorful stenciling and excellent, near mint condition certainly make this a real gem.Auction Info
