A 5.5" x 4" silk American flag mounted to a mat board and framed along with two 7" x 6.5" mission photos and an explanatory text panel; the overall size is 21.25" x 17.25". The text reads, in full: "This flag was flown to the lunar surface aboard the Lunar Module, Antares, and returned to Earth aboard the Command Module, Kittyhawk on the Apollo 14 mission to Fra Mauro January 31 -February 9, 1971." Beneath this Roosa (1933-1994) has written: "To Bert Klineburger-/ These vehicles are faster than a Land Rover but the shooting isn't as good- Best Wishes Stuart A. Roosa". Roosa presented this flown relic to his friend and legendary big game hunter, Bert Klineburger, after the flight.
