Reclining Chinaman Mechanical Bank made by J. & E. Stevens Co., Cromwell, CT, circa 1882. The Chinaman shows you his hand and gives a salute when a coin is placed in his pocket and the lever is activated. A rat sits below at the end of the log. From the William Esser Collection.
