Description

"Picture Gallery Bank" Cast Iron Bank made by Shepard Hardware Co., Buffalo, NY, circa 1885. Place payment in the man's hand and pull the lever on the back of the bank to deposit the coin. A second lever moves the characters in the window boxes showing numbers, words and pictures. Not only is this bank instructive, but it was a fun way to save money. From the William Esser Collection.
