Description

"Darktown Battery" Mechanical Bank by J. & E. Stevens & Co., Cromwell, CT, designed by James H. Bowen, circa 1888. A coin is placed in the hand of the pitcher who, when the lever is tripped, pitches the coin to the batter. The batter misses and the coin drops safely to the catcher who deposits it in the trap.
