The first item is a book written by Buffalo Bill published in 1888, titled: "Story of the Wild West and Camp-Fire Chats: A Full and Complete History of the Renowned Pioneer Quartette, Boone, Crockett, Carson and Buffalo Bill." It has an attractive cover, gorgeous frontispiece ("Buffalo Bill to the Rescue") and is 766 pages long. It is accompanied by a 6" x 9 1/2" two-sided advertisement for the book and the transmittal envelope promoting "Buffalo Bill's Own Book. Written by Himself."
