William F. "Buffalo Bill" Cody: Assorted Souvenirs. Three "Buffalo Bill" souvenirs from the height of his career. First is an unusual porcelain teacup with gold dappling and a blue flower motif, c.1888. Cody's home is depicted on it with the caption "Buffalo Bill's Scout's Rest Ranch/North Platte, Neb." Next, from Cody's Wyoming home, there is a sterling silver souvenir teaspoon, c.1905, showing the Irma Hotel and the caption "Buffalo Bill's Hotel/Cody, Wyo." So far as we know, neither of these items has ever before been offered in a public sale. They are grouped here with a whimsical metal "Buffalo Bill" inkwell from the 1890s. The sculptural figure sits on a 6"-wide wooden base. Cody's moustaches hold the pen; his hat tips back to reveal the ink container. The ceramic ink cup (hidden by the hat) is missing, and one pin of the hat's hinge is broken. Otherwise it is in good condition.
