    Senior Captain Texas Ranger Badge Belonging to Clint Peoples. 40mm, gold wash over silver. Constructed from a Mexican 1947 or 1948 issue five peso coin which has been hammered slightly convex and voided to create the Texas "Lone Star" central motif. The badge is engraved on the obverse CLINT PEOPLES / SR. CAPT / TEXAS RANGERS, the letters highlighted with black paint and enhanced with additional floral accents. The reverse still retains traces of the die struck 5 peso coin and features a hinged pin and barrel catch for mounting. Sold together with a notarized letter from the consignor tracing ownership of this badge back to Captain Peoples.
    Condition: Fine, displaying little wear from use.
