    Description

    K. B. & P.

Rare Spurs by Kelly Brothers and Parker 1912-1919.
Well marked, K.B.& P. on the outside of the heel band just past the swinging buttons. 1 3/4-inch, 6-point rowels. Slightly curved shanks with fine-engraved silver arrows. 5/8-inch bands with large engraved silver overlays. Engraved silver button covers. Brown leathers with roller buckles. Note: According to Martin and House in "Bit And Spur Makers In The Texas Tradition" Pascal Kelly hired Clyde Parker as a partner until 1919. This narrow, early time frame earns K.B.& P.-marked spurs a high collectibility rating.
Provenance: Roger and Linda Carpenter Collection.

Condition: Very good to fine. Traces of blue with age wear and scattered patches of very fine pitting. Leather straps are later replacements.

The pre and post sales experience was wonderful and flawless. Heritage has the best in-house operation I have ever seen and their people are not only professional but fun to work with, especially Steve C.

As for Heritage's online system… Yes the interface is more complex than what we are used to with SAN but what is behind that interface is amazing for sellers and buyers alike. It is real time and for a real serious auction buyer there is nothing better in the auction industry, bar none.
