Overland Mail Route to California Manuscript. We offer two manuscript pages, each 7.75" x 12.5", written on a single side, titled "Overland Route to California." It discusses a recent change wherein the mail route to start at two locations, namely Junction City, Kansas and Fort Kearney, Nebraska, both on the Union Pacific Line. Previously, the starting-off point was Atchison, Kansas. "The Junction City road connects at Wyandotte with the Pacific Railway from St. Louis, making a continuous railway connection with the eastern cities. By this route, the stage travel is diminished one hundred and sixty-eight miles, and the time occupied in the transit should be proportionally reduced." Another change had resulted "in one or two instances mails have been received at New York in nineteen days from San Francisco - a day less than the shortest time ever made." The writer has made numerous corrections and additions. The document is endorsed "Overland Route to California 17 Nov. '66."

The pre and post sales experience was wonderful and flawless. Heritage has the best in-house operation I have ever seen and their people are not only professional but fun to work with, especially Steve C.

As for Heritage's online system… Yes the interface is more complex than what we are used to with SAN but what is behind that interface is amazing for sellers and buyers alike. It is real time and for a real serious auction buyer there is nothing better in the auction industry, bar none.
