    Description

Miller Brothers' 101 Ranch: Three Souvenir Programs. Three souvenir programs. One of the 101 Ranch's finest publishing efforts was this 32-page c.1910 program for its Wild West show, "Tepee and Trail." The color is splendid and the content is good. By 1927 the show was nearing its end and Joe Miller was scrambling to save both show and ranch. But you would never know it from this second program, a full 64 pages of illustrations and stories. The third piece is a fine copy of the program for one of the more unusual Wild Wests, the combination of Col. Fred Cummins' "Far East" and "Young Buffalo's (Vernon Seaver) Wild West." Better known as an organizer of Indian "congresses," including one at the Pan-American Exposition in 1901 in Buffalo, N.Y., in which he also "exhibited" Calamity Jane, Cummins laid claim to the title "A Great White Indian Chief."
