    Lot of Three Stereoviews. Two Dakota and One Montana Territory Views ca. 1870s-1880s. Three photographs all taken by F. J. Haynes. First Stereoview is a Bird's-eye view taken from the bluffs of Fort Benton, Montana Territory. This stereo has a printed back stamp reading "Northern Pacific Views comprising scenes along the entire line of the Northern Pacific Railroad." Excellent condition. Second stereo card is #1189, Mandan, Dakota Territory. Period ink verso "Street view - Shows wooden sidewalks like we have here & much the same kind of houses." Photographed by Haynes, official photographer, N. P. R. R. Fargo. The third stereo card is No. 548, Cantonment, Little Missouri (Dakota Territory). Albumen stereoview of U. S. soldiers on review in front of barracks. Photographed by Haynes, official photographer, N. P. R. R. Fargo. Also has red back stamp "Sherwood Hough Books stationary engravings, Printing, Etc. St. Paul, Minn." Small cards measure approximately 3.5" x 7", the large card measures 4" x 7".

    Very good-very fine, mounts have very light soiling.
