Filled with photographic plates and a short caption beneath each detailing the trip from San Francisco to the Klondike during the Alaska Gold Rush. This edition "Presented by the Alaskan Bonanza Mining, Trading, & Transportation Co. to Miss M. E. Brown" as indicated by gilt lettering on front board. Fold out map of North America, 14.75" x 15.25", showing the routes to Alaska. Main vertical fold has separated. Front board and spine covering have separated from the textblock, but are still attached by the rear board. [and:] E. A. Hegg. Souvenir of Nome, Alaska. Seattle: 1900. 8vo, 55 pages. Containing photographs by E. A. Hegg, the book represents the journey undertaken by miners from the south to the mines around Nome. All pages in the book are photocopies from the original and are bound together in book form.
