    Lot of Assorted 19th Century Pommel Holsters and Saddle Bags.
    Comprising: 1) Pair of pommel holsters. 12-inches from throat to sewn toe. Light brown leather with flaps and studs. 2) Pair of pommel holsters. 12-inch pouches each with covering flap and two brass studs. Dark-brown leather. 3) 19th Century Quilted Leather Saddle Bags. Unmarked, machine-stitched, each side with original duck linings. Nicely reinforced billets on each flap. Roller buckles. Carrying strap. 4) Interesting Unmarked Leather Document/Courier's Pouch. Brown leather. Three storage compartments with flaps and brass studs. Additional plastic-lined fold-out document section. Shoulder strap.

    Condition: 1) Very good. Leather is well-preserved and somewhat supple. Flap fastener straps are absent. Stitches all tight. 2) Fair to Good. Leather dry but complete as configured. Appears to have been period-of-use modified. One pouch with square pattern of stitches without thread suggesting a prior use. Other pouch with small hole. 3) Good. Leather with some dryness and soiling. One billet strap broken and found in one pouch. Carry strap separated at one end. 4) Moderate age wear and patina. General dryness to leather. Heavy soiling.
