    Description

    Large Format Photograph Flagstaff, Arizona ca 1890s. Flagstaff - this city is situated on the line of the A. & P. railroad, 344 miles west of Albuquerque, and is the best town on the line for a distance of 600 miles. It has a population of about 1,500 people, well watered and has a large timber, cattle and sheep interest surrounding it. Its elevation is 7,000 feet. It lies at the base of the San Francisco Peaks, whose elevations are over 13,000 feet. The city has fine business blocks, good hotels, schools and churches. Society is good, and scenery unsurpassed.

    Image was photographed by C. Osbon, Flagstaff Arizona. Depicts the railroad line, on side of railcar (Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe) in front of the town. Lots of signage in foreground. Period paper tag on verso of image. Measures approximately 9.75" x 6.75".

    Very good-fine, mount has corner break right hand side, and soiled
