    Description

Johnny Baker: Photo Locket and 1¼" Celluloid Button. The heart shaped unmarked "gold" locket, with tiny inset diamond, contains a photo of Baker dating from his prime years as a performer and a photo of his wife Della Farrell. The latter photo is damaged but present; however, Johnny's photo is in very good condition. 1.25" x 0.875" when displayed open.

The button depicts a young Baker in performer's attire and probably dates from the mid-1890s. Excellent condition except for one small separation on the rim at 3:15. Pin missing on verso. While we have seen many similar buttons depicting Buffalo Bill, this is the first we have encountered picturing Baker. For more information about the Johnny Baker Archive, please click here.

This was my first time dealing with an auction house, and I am 100% completely impressed with Heritage. There is not an aspect of this process that I have a critique for.
