    Dawson, Alaska: An Exceptional Group of Large Gold Rush Era Original Photos. Includes (1) Three gelatin prints of overviews of the town in its heyday, one in panorama configuration; (2) Three albumen waterfront scenes; (3) Highly artistic gelatin image of ocean and clouds; (4) Great albumen photo of "Sack Race - 4th of July - Celebration - Dawson", held in the main street, with identified businesses in background. Minor damage at upper right-hand corner; and (5) Terrific early 1900-dated glossy image of a crowd of miners and businessmen in front of the Orpheum Theater. At the right edge can be seen an advertising banner for "General Arthur Cigars". Caption: "Taken at Dawson at Midnight (the Land of the Midnight Sun!) July 3, 1900 Darms Photo." A couple of minor surface cracks at bottom.

    Except for the minor imperfections noted, these are in excellent condition, still mounted on original album pages.Sizes range from 6.875" to 9.75", all shown to scale.
