    Description

[Nevada Mining] 1912 Panoramic Photograph Reno, Nevada, Reno Nevada From South Side Fire Station, Photographed by T. C. Wohlbruck. 35.25" x 8". Wonderful panorama taken from the Reno Fire Station in 1912. Interestingly, the photographer, T. C. Wohlbruck, has eight panoramic photographs listed in the Library of Congress Panoramic Photograph Collection, all taken in Massachusetts during this same time period. At the time this image was taken, mining in the Comstock Lode was waning but Reno was still the hub for mining equipment and supplies as well as the Virginia & Truckee Railroad. This image is not listed in the Library of Congress Panoramic Collection. Some small sections missing from the right corner and center with scattered soiling/scuffing elsewhere.
