Four Buffalo Bill Cody Magazine, Dime Magazines, and Program, 1885-1900. A group of stunning early publications about Buffalo Bill Cody and the Wild West. The earliest of the publications is the 1885 Wild West program, 7" x 9.75", just three years after Buffalo Bill established the show and only one year after Annie Oakley, the show's greatest performer, joined the company. The cover has a very attractive lithographic image of a young Buffalo Bill. The second item in this group is a very large format, 10" x 12", color lithographic booklet entitled, A Peep at Buffalo Bill's Wild West, published by McLoughlin Bros., New York, in 1887. The booklet, 16 pages long, tells the thrilling story of the Wild West in verse. Including the covers, there are ten full-page color lithographic illustrations, in addition to a two-page spread in the center. Extremely attractive! (The spine is reinforced with green tape, while each of the interior pages are reinforced at the spine with a narrow strip of scotch tape, affecting only the centerfold illustration). A copy of Beadle's Dime New York Library, Vol. XL, No. 517, September 19, 1888, with a 29 page story, "Buffalo Bill's First Trail, or Will Cody The Pony Express Rider" by Ned Buntline. The fourth item in the group is a dime novel, The James Boys Weekly, published by Frank Tousey, New York on December 28, 1900. This is issue number 1. The 31 page story is entitled, "The James Boys; or, The Bandit King's Last Shot." Riveting reading!

This was my first time dealing with an auction house, and I am 100% completely impressed with Heritage. There is not an aspect of this process that I have a critique for.
