    F. A. Meanea of Cheyenne, Wyoming: Double Loop Side Holster and Matched Money Belt, Circa 1890. The border tooled hand-stamped holster, with a toe plug, is for a 5½" Colt SAA pistol. The money belt measures 34" at the smallest and up to 39¾" at the longest. There is a row of cartridge loops for fifty-three individual .44 caliber rounds. The holster is marked "F. A. Meanea/ Cheyenne". Frank A. Meanea one of the original Wyoming Territory saddle makers and probably one of the most desirable makers to collect. The 3" money belt, also marked with the same stamping, has a clipped corner nickel buckle. The belt shows honest wear with some re-stitching and minor tearing along the upper back seam. The tongue billet has been repositioned. The holster is in fine condition.
