    Crockett Single-Mounted Stainless Steel Spurs.
    Marked: STAINLESS and CROCKETT in the #5 position (bottom edge below swinging buttons) make this a Transition pair. See page 122 of "Bits & Spurs In The Texas Tradition" by House, Adamson and Martin. Texas star rowels on short shank. Beautiful and extensively floral engraved silver overlays with raised rowel-pin covers. Same fine motif extends to floral button from which is attached a personalized vintage set of leathers with Ranger-style engraved sterling buckle set. The floral style engraving of the buckle set is a match to the spurs. A handsome set circa 1946-55.
    Provenance: Roger and Linda Carpenter Collection.

    Condition: Fine. Spurs remain bright with just traces of wear. Leathers are very good showing crackling at stress points. Repair to billet on one strap.
